buick5563
When I was trying to post the extraordinarily important news that it is National Pie Day today, I noticed that if you use the search feature above and search "Spam Pie", it is on the second page.Um, what's up with that?I can't imagine ever trying to find something that said carburetor in it. MrEarl
I hardly ever use the above forum search feature. Try googling (without the quotation marks) "spam pie site:aaca.org" or "1955 Buick Carburetor site:aaca.org" or and hears a yummy one "Mike Middleton likes pie site:aaca.org" ........ you get it.... MrEarl
Thanks for posting this Mikey, actually I've been meaning to post just this thread topic. Anybody else have ways, preferably simple, to search for forum subjects?
buick5563
There are so many websites that say "Mike Middleton likes pie", that you would spend longer than just using the forum search.

RivNut
Use the advanced search forum at the right of the dark blue tool bar. When that page opens, click on the 'seacrh single content type' tab. Type in what you're looking for on the key words line. If you know who started the thread, type in his usernam exactly - if you get it exact, it will appear in a yellow box under where you typed. Scroll down and limit your search to the forum in which the thread is posted and hit the search key. When I typed in "spam pie" and "MrEarl", and limited the forum to 'Buick General,' it popped right up, 2nd from the topThe more unique you can define your search, the fewer threads get pulled up. So be 'wordy' if you know some unique things about what's been said.Ed Edited January 23, 2015 by RivNut (see edit history)
