Looking for a good straight eight mechanic in

Recommended Posts

Yes, of course. He ran the same shop for close to fifty years. The workload morphed over the years to electronic fuel injection and computer diagnostics. I doubt they've rebuilt a carburetor in 10 years. The owner was/is the only one who worked on the older cars, a couple of his own and for the occasional long-time customers. We have several 'classic restoration' shops locally and they're generally very good (but a bit pricey). My friend has an older brother (80!) with a shop north of town and maybe a couple of guys who can do the work. Too far for me.
