Buick engine paint

We have a 1931 Buick Model 54 and I am ready to paint the engine, flywheel- and clutchhousing, the cover of the clutchhousing and the gearbox. I did some investigation but don´t have all the answers. I already discovered that the early 1931 engineblock should be painted an olivegreen, the rest I don´t know. How did Buick paint it back in 31? Did they paint it before assembly (like Ford Model A) or after (partial) assembly? And what is painted olive and what is painted black or other colors? Who can tell me? confused.gif" border="0
