Guest
I have looked through all my books about my 75 Buick Electra Limited trying to find horsepower and torque specifications. All I can come up with is 205 HP (from a 455 CID!!!!!) but at what RPM. Also what is torque and at what RPM. Anybody tell me or point me in the right direction?
Thanx. Guest
Here's your answer: 205 hp @3800 rpm
345 ft.lbs @2000 rpm--also compression ratio is 7.9:1 All this came from a 1975-90 BOP Chilton repair manual #7308 for full size rear wheel drive BOP's.
------------------

70 Skylark W.I.P.
69 Skylark W.I.P. Guest
Truly the dim years for performance....And you could not even see the light at the end of the tunnel !
Guest
I remember, how we all thought that performance was OVER HOT ROD magazine had covers that read "Four banger HP" and "The V6, Future performance". In one magazine there was an article on the 427 Cobra and the last line in the text was "When will a car like the Cobra be built again?, Never, and that's a long time". Now look at the Special edition Viper, Corvette, Mustang, and others that are as fast and stop much better and certainly handle better. The super car is only getting better.
------------------
buickfam@aol.com
Life long Buick Fan.
1965 Skylark H/T
1965 Gran Sport Convertible
1948 Chevy Pickup with 401 Buick.
