Guest srukke Posted December 1, 2014 Share Posted December 1, 2014 It's not an antique car but the tranny is a Chevy manual and I am not having any luck in the identification. I was hoping this may be a good site to help me. It is currently installed in a 1950 mini crawler. The crawler came with a Crosley manual and at some point this has been switched out for this Chevy. Any help is appreciated. I haven't found any other numbers stamped on it but there are a couple spots still with some grease and dirt. So the numbers I did identify don't mean anything?Any idea how durable they are, it's in a dozer so needs to be sturdy. Are parts available?May I ask how you knew it was a '28? Is there an ID source available? Are there other years that can be used as a replacement?Sorry for all of the questions. It must be similar to the original Crosley I am guessing. The engine produced about 35 HP so the gearbox is designed for that.
