1950 Chevy engine color

Howard,<P>Gray was continued being used on both engines in 1951 and 1952 also. In 1953, when they went to all 235 engines and renamed them as the Blue Flame 6, is when they became blue. However, the 216 engine remained being used in 1953 in the sedan delivery and the 1/2 ton pickup only. I can't remember without looking it up which color was used on that engine. I believe they remained gray, but I'm not certain.<P>Rick

Thanks everyone. I will assume that it is like most production cars, every thing is engine color that was needed for running test at the factory...later bolted on parts were probably black.<BR>Just want to get the beast running for now...details later if it turns out nice.<BR>pablo
