Repair sections

I need new rockerpanels for my '48 Chevrolet Aerosedan. There are few firms that supply these repair sections. Does anyone have experiences with these kits? How do they fit and duplicate original? Is there any product and supplier you could recommend? <BR> <BR>By the way, how much is 18-gauge steel in a metric unit? <BR>Thanks!<P>

Aftermarket replacement rocker panels that I have used were just the outer skin. I used pop rivets to put them in place. Improved the appearance of the car; but not authentic original.<P>jnp
