Guest
I own a 1928 Ford Model A here in Brazil. This car has front fender mounted cowl lights, with 70 mm diameter lenses. They follow the same format as the headlights, but with reduced size. Are these cowl lights original parts ? These type of cowl lights are very commom here in Brazil. I have a picture, that was taken in 1928, showing this kind of cowl lights.
Rick Hoover
Julio,
What you are describing is correct for Ford Model A and were known simply as Fender Lights.
Fender lights are authorized Ford accessories and were offered in place of parking lights. These were installed at the Ford dealerships, not at the factory. These lights were available and installed after March 1929.
Every photograph I have showing fender lights on Model A's are of vehicles owned outside the USA.
Hope this helped,
Rick

Rick Hoover
No I don't Julio.
I'll check out some old friends here as I'm pretty sure they are not reproduced. I'll let you know, hopefully soon.
Rick
