Guest Roadmaster
How can anyone tell what the original color was on my 1950 Buick Roadmaster? The codes on firewall ID plate- I can't find the codes anywhere.
Rick Hoover
Roadmaster,
Are you saying that your body ID tag is missing completely or that there are no numbers on it? If you have the plate, read off all the numbers. What color is the car now? Is there any traces of a different color under the trunk lid area or behind in engine on the firewall? Let me know and I'll help you out.
Rick
Bill Stoneberg
If you can read the body plate Bob's Automobilia can help you with the colors that your car should be. He has color samples and the Dupont mixing formulas for your Buick.
Here is a link that will tell you how to read your VIN plate along with a good source for parts. http://www.fantasyautoworks.com/bu_data.htm
Sounds like you are doing some major work to your Buick.
Have fun, I enjoy my 3 Buicks.
BTW If you find another Roadmaster like yours, I am looking for one to restore.
[This message has been edited by Bill Stoneberg (edited 06-04-2000).]
