carrfixr Posted October 7, 2014 Share Posted October 7, 2014 i have a ford A that i will be putting through nat'l judging soon. it has 6" seat adjusters on the front seats and also the vin# on the engine does not match the insurance / registration because its a replacement motor. will these two items affect me in any point deductions? MCHinson Posted October 8, 2014 Share Posted October 8, 2014 I am not familiar with the seat adjusters. If they are aftermarket accessories, you could potentially lose some points for those. How do they even know that was the correct car from my registration?? They seemed to be more concerned that my fire ext. was fullycharged then checking any credentials for the entry. All other organizations check the VIN before the judging even begins; if any irregularitiesexist the car will not get judged. I'm not complaining as I do like AACA but find it strange they do this. But: Depending where you park yourtrailer the local police may require a plate to travel on public roads to the judging field; so beware. There may be some meets that you would not have to travel on roadways to get from a trailer parking area to the showfield, but most would involve traveling on public roadways. You do not need a license plate on a vehicle for AACA judging. There are no deductions in AACA Judging for not displaying tools that came with the car originally.
