Someone did a dash paint resto 20 yrs back and didn't mask the plasti-chrome around the woodgrain & gauges; then when they got around to wiping it off it was obviously too late; I've tried everything including brasso and a toluene based solvent with a slight abrasive; no go!!Any ideas??? palbuick Posted May 22, 2000 Share Posted May 22, 2000 It worked for me.<BR>My 70 wildcat was loosing some of the crome plating around the instrument cluster. I found some crome paint at a local hobby shop, that modelers use to paint crome trim<BR>on model cars. comes in a pencil type tube with a felt tip, with a steady hand it worked great.
