Guest
I am restoring a 29 REO. The temp gauge uses a very small tube to connect a bulb in the head, to the gauge in the dash. It's broke and I need to replace the tube and refill the system.
Does anyone know the working fluid?
ply33
The working fluid is ether.
You can fix the gauge yourself with parts from the local auto supply store. The April 2000 issue of Skinned Knuckles has a how to.
I also did it my self a couple of years back and wrote it up on my web site click on the repair link.
