1953 Pontiac Distributor Interchange???

Ok Well I was wondering what the interchange was for a distributor on a 1953 Pontiac 8cyl engine. I know they produced basically the same 8cyl for many years. I found a distributor that is said to be for a 37-39 Pontiac 8cyl. Will that work on the 53 8cyl.<BR>If anyone has an interchange manual telling this info or if anyone knows it would be appreciated.<BR>Thanks

Pontiac51,<P>To the best of my knowledge, '52 to '54 are the same only. Part / model # 1110831. '50-'51 may work, but I'm not sure. I don't have anything here to back me up on this.<P>Hope it helped,<BR>Rick
