89tc
It's in the woods in upstate New York, still has the engine in it. I was just wondering if anyone knew what it was. Thanks!
Dave Mellor NJ
Ill say 39-40 Chevy pickup. If it has round gauges it's a 39 . Rectangular is a 40. See how the door moldings match.
Fleek
Looks like an old stove bolt 6 chevy engine, so I think Dave is right on the identity.
Mark Simmons
Could also be a 39-40 GMC Fleek is right it has a later model 235 Chevy six in it . May be worth pulling out .
Dave Mellor NJ
I knew the 41-46 Chevy Pickup has the same cab as the 40 (rectangular gauges) but the front sheetmetal is different. Looking through the hood in your picture I see louvers which aren't the same as the 39-40. Therefore I'm changing my assessment to 41-46 Chevy or GMC.This is a 46. 89tc
Oh wow, thanks a lot for the info guys! If anyone is local to Sullivan County New York and might be interested in grabbing it, I may be able to coordinate the sale/ pickup. It's in the back woods of a property that was just listed for sale, so no doubt, the New York City buyer (most buyers in this area are from Nyc, due to it's proximity to the city) will have it removed and crushed without a second thought. I'd prefer someone to grab it and either fix it up or use it for parts to keep another truck alive...
Fleek
Wish it were closer, but I am in Fla. Lots of good parts still there that someone is looking for.
