viv w
Hi,I have a chrysler rear axle that I bought for my G70, but it is wrong for my car, maybe it is what you need. I think it is 1928, it has 46 teeth on crown wheel, 10 on pinion, the axle housing is marked 4.6-1 and has the number H2357 stamped nearby. The pumpkin housing has a casting number 53508 with a 2 underneath. The axle has been part stripped for transport. There is some rust on the gears, but it should clean up and be serviceable, you will have to replace all bearings. This axle had 18in wheels , but those I'm keeping. I paid $300 for it, but will consider offers. pm me Thanks regardsViv. The axle is located in Ipperwash On Canada, I will be here until 20th Oct Edited October 5, 2014 by viv w (see edit history)
28 Chrysler
1928 should be a Model 72. There were 2 different Model 70's, the "G" (1925 - 27) and the "V" (1929 -31). The serial number of the car or motor will tell which one you need, also open or closed car. Open cars could have a higher ratio.
