WOW! What a great event the DB 100 year celebration was....

Recommended Posts

I am SO glad I was able to attend the Dodge Brothers centennial meet!! I was finally able to match some faces with some names of the wonderful members of the club that I have been communicating with on the forum. I am proud to be a member of such a group. I know you have seen a LOT of photos already, but here are some of the ones that I took. I wish to thank all of the folks who made the event what it was....FANTASTIC!

Great photos John,

I like the angles you took in some of these, it really makes us feel like we're standing right there and gives us a chance to see the moment more clearly. Beautiful setting and the cars are amazing..

Heyyyyyy! Who let '31 Model A ford in there? lol Great photos! Wish I could have made it! Thanks so much for sharing:) Benny
That's owned by DBC members John & Lin Bieback (who's DB isn't back together yet) and was the lead car in our 2-car caravan...because it's equipped with GPS.

I saw the rear end of that car for 3 days of driving to and 2 days of driving home from the meet. Over 1,500 miles round trip!

Had enough, yet??? Hopefully, no repeats. Hoping you folks who were not able to go will get the feel of the day with the odd photos of the non-car stuff. It all just fell together so beautifully for a fantastic experience. Thank you again to all of the supporters and worker bees who made it possible. I will NEVER forget it.

I guess I should show you some of the other stuff we did aside from Meadow Brook. We went to the Edsel Ford estate on the Detroit River, The Greenfield Village, the Dodge Brother's burial site, an event/show/lunch at the Golling Dodge dealership in Bloomfield Hills and toured the Ford Piquet plant downtown Detroit. Here you go....

John, you're going to give the guy with the blue coupe a fat head as many pics as you've posted of it. Thanks for taking time to post them.

Yep....Roger and Ken Williams' car is one of the best restorations I have ever seen and I am happy to show it off. Both my buddy, Mike and I got to ride in it....

When John is done posting, we have about 700 photos and 50 movie clips. John and myself got to drive around in a 58 Dodge Royal with a 350-push button auto. We came up to a smart car and ask if he wanted to race? GOOD times on Woodward Ave.

John and me in the 58.

John, thank you all for taking the time to post the photos. I for one am very grateful of the effort and time taken to load the photos, much appreciated.

My wife came out to the garage with a coffee and cake and said happy dodge anniversary...........bless her cotton socks !

i have admired and have many photos of that Blue dodge of often look at that for reference. if you have any more I'd love to see them especially of the interior and engine.

Cheers

Ian

  • 7 months later...

We sent out the video of the meet I made for the club to all attendees some time ago - I hope everyone got theirs. I believe the Dodge Brothers Club still has some for sale if you missed the event. Some really nice "traveling" shots of the cars if I do say so myself, lots of interviews with car owners and coverage of each day's events.. My wife and I very much enjoyed meeting everyone and working on the video up in Detroit.

Yes, I Got it and have viewed several times,

I took a lot of pictures and lost all of them when I had a SD card failure before saving,

you made a great Video, you had to put your self in danger sometimes with the drivers in Detroit, ,

totally enjoyed the experience, and enjoying see others perspective of the meet in their pictures,

regards

Jesse and Gwen
