Gray automobile emblem ?

I found a different Gray automobile emblem...it is 2 5/8" X 1" oval, black enamel, silver letters, only lettering says GRAY, makers mark on back is Bastian Brothers and they have been out of business a long time. Gray also made a lot of stationary motors and boat motors....any information would help

Here's the normal emblem from the 22-26 Gray. There was also a Gray & Davis and a Gray/Dort.

There's a lot of stuff out there from Bastian Bros. They're a button, printing, medallion business. Your medallion might not be auto related although I see a Chevy and a Chrysler emblem among the myriad e-bay offerings.http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=bastian+bros

I do not know, but Gray was also one of the major manufacturers of marine engines and were used in a great many boats. Perhaps this might the their marine engine emblem??? It might be worth checking out. The mounting lugs on the back of your emblem seem a bit long to have been for an auto radiator mounting.
