We thought maybe it was used as a mold or shape form.After coming up short in our tire literature I came up on a patent for a 1944 wooden tire.**While it doesn’t look to be the exact matching tire, it certainly does prove that there were wooden prototypes out there to be thought of as a rubber replacement during WWII.*More...
