AACA Library Posted May 6, 2014 Share Posted May 6, 2014 Stalin’s Sloppy Copy!:Shortly after World War II, Stalin directed the ZIS automobile plant to build the ZIS-110 (later ZIL-110) cars, with elements of design heavily lifted from American makes like Packard and Cadillac. *During the Korean War, one of these vehicles was captured by the U.S. military and analyzed by American engineers. *It was also test-driven by automotive journalist Joseph Wherry, who pretty much bashed the car and labeled it “Stalin’s sloppy copy.”More...
