Raise your hand if you drove at least one old Buick this weekend

Finally was able to get the Queen out for a ride!  It is a great day when one can just take a car out of storage and go 30 miles without any hiccups!

Town Park by the Mohawk River!

That is the abandoned Adirondack Power generating station in the background.  Great architecture, but in terrible condition!

No leaves on the trees yet, but some green in the hills!

This car is truly awesome!

Drove the "creampuff" to church on Sunday, to errands on Wednesday, and to Lunch today, goes on trailer tomorrow to go back to Michigan soon, the same way it came to NY from MI in 1995.

After a year and a half "Beulah" has been liberated from the garage. Since having the engine re built and installed last September I had to re do the water pump. New stainless shaft, bearings and seals.  Plus doing a few other chores that had to wait for better weather. I did about 4 laps around the neighborhood. I still have to work out a few more bugs and get the front fenders back on.

Yep.  The middle son and I took our 1975 Skyhawk from Marysville, Oh to Ft Wayne, In to pickup some Grand National wheels.  Averaged 25 MPG @ 75 mph.  Not too bad for a early carb'd V6 at that speed (3000 rpm, btw).  Ran flawlessly the entire way!

Thanks for that info Brad.  The screaming V6 has been one thing that I’ve been concerned about driving down to Oklahoma with.  Knowing that it can do that speed with decent fuel economy gives me hope.

Technically today isn't on the weekend but it is my day off!!!

New Diamondback triple stripe whitewall 235/75-15 tires and new stainless steel lug nuts were installed on The Aqua Zephyr today. I like how the taller tires fill the wheel wells compared to the old tires.20190415_151014.thumb.jpg.7ba65631be735c2d6574c34e4f0ff583.jpg

Got the '56 out several times Friday, Saturday,  and just a little while ago.  It's like my go-to-car now !   Easiest one to get out and no dissapointments!

I got my '57 Roadmaster out of storage a couple weekends ago and drove it only a little at the time. I took it out for a long drive this past Saturday, knowing that we were going to be hit by an April snowstorm on Sunday. I drove from my home in north suburban Chicago north to Pleasant Prairie, WI, and after getting gas at Costco, I drove west to Lake Geneva, WI, Williams Bay, WI, and Fontana-on-Geneva-Lake, WI, before driving back home. It was a 146 mile drive. The weather on Saturday was a beautiful, and the car drove beautifully, too. I'll be getting the '63 Electra 225 out of storage next weekend, and I hope to be able to repeat this drive in that car -- with the top down if it's going to be warm enough.

My route and some photos along the way.

Photo 1 was taken at the Sedge Meadow Forest Preserve in Wadsworth, IL.

Photo 2 was taken near the boat launch in Williams Bay, WI, on Lake Geneva.

Photo 3 was taken at the west end of Lake Geneva, in Fontana-on-Geneva-Lake, WI.

Finally got Max out for a long drive.  Headed down to the fingerlakes area and snagged a couple pics.  Started out the drive getting some cupcakes from the cupcake place in Pittsford, where a group of kids posed for their own picture with Max, I wasn't able to get a shot myself though.  Then a nice drive down through Bloomfield to Canandaigua Lake for pics.  not very sunny, but what a great drive

54 miles to Easter Brunch today!  The day started sunny, but then threatened some rain later on.  About half way home I got the chance for these shots!

We drove the '41 more today, than for several months, about 170 miles all together. We are setting up a weekend tour for next month and had to run the routes again, and I decided to take the '41, to give it a more authentic feel. Well, OK, just a good excuse to drive it!

Ran great, mostly secondary 50 MPH roads, but one short jaunt, on our way home across a major highway at about 70.

Picture taken at a closed up general store in hamlet near our home.

After three days of rain with a sunny Easter Day of 72 degrees grabbed the Special before lunch and drove over to my son's to see if he was ready for my help with reconditioning his garage. That was my excuse for a short road trip before heading home with her.
