superbuick Posted March 14, 2014 Share Posted March 14, 2014 1958 Impala - Canadian build tag decode help- I am in the process of buying a 1958 Impala convertible the owner restored. He bought the car and a truck of parts many years ago from Canada. The VIN tag on the drivers door pillar is Canadian. I was disappointed the tag for the fire or cowl ( were should it be?) was missing.I little digging and he found it. The car is black, convertible, 348 and AutoHow close is the tag and were should it be mounted in the car ?- Thanks, Steve :confused: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Willys77 Posted March 14, 2014 Share Posted March 14, 2014 Hi Steve. There should be a couple of holes on the firewall corresponding to the holes in the tag.
