With all the recent postings about taillights that stay on or dome lights that stay on or even parking lights staying on, I was chagrinned to see my interior lights on as I drove home in the dusk the other day. My mind searched for all the possible problems and solutions from failed relays and their locations to wet wiring under the seat. As I sorted through the ways to disconnect power so my battery wouldn't drain, I remembered an easy, time honored fix. I reached over and slid the dome light switch to off. Yes, sometimes it is just that easy. I gotta stop reading so much here.

I think I have read every post for the last 7 years that I've owned my Reatta. It sounds like you have done enough reading here that you have got to the point where you can diagnose problems before you even raise the hood. That makes you a Reatta master!

my motto on auto repairs has always been look for the "cheap, fast and easy" fix - before starting to "overthink"...:)

the "problem" i have: remembering the "flippers" or daily drivers i've had don't need to be detailed to the point i would go to on my old car(s) before taking them to a car show!!! :o

You have aptly described the "KISS" method.

Keep

It

Simple

Stupid

* not that I am calling anyone stupid mind you. This is a trusty standby of all who have ever had to troubleshoot something complex.

Considering how much my loved bucket of bolts has had her way with me since I purchased her a couple years ago, I wonder if I am a Reatta master or if it is the master of me...
