Passenger's side of firewall beneath the AC stuff. You should see twin 1" rubber hoses running from the heater core to the upper part of the engine behind the belt.

The heater core post reminded me of a tool I made to help remove those lower panels under the dash.

On the firewall end you will find a stamped metal "wing" nut, they are awkward to get to and remove. I had some plastic (semi-ridged) tubing about 1/2 inch in diameter on the outside. With a hacksaw cut a notch on both sides of the one end (a piece about 12 inches long) the notch needs to be about 1/4 inch deep and wide enough for the "wings" of the nut. You can dress it up with a file........ now slide the tubing over the stud on to the wingnut and you have a speed wrench to take off those wingnuts.
