i bought the edsel in november of ebay uk the first pictures show it how it was on the day. i had a Christine moment and i had to have it.

after geting it home i gave it a good clean and refitted the missing bits.after a lot of messing about i got it runing gr8.at first i just thought i would use it as a dailey drive. but it gets under your skin and i decided to restore it the best i can.

its of to the body shop at the week end and i should have it back in 6 to 8 week so i will keep posting updates when i can:cool:

I found out it was a Florida car in 1987 it was seized by the USA government maybe for some sort of tax payment . It was then sold at auction and brought to the uk in 1988. It was then used in the first edition of american classic magazine with a big radio 1 dj driveing it ( John peel) the magazine came with the car and it clearly shows the regastration number

I have finished the radiator support repair all I have to do to it is dress the weld a bit and send it to the powder coaters with the fender aprons and bumper mounts . I have had most of the parts arrive ready to start the rebuild when I get the body back .the new carpet and roof liner should finish the inside of quite nice

It's being done as a practice project I am on a set price of £3000.00 with no tax and mates rates .its looking like a two week over run on the finish date they set

i was being quoted £4500 as a starting price with no top figure and no finish date.
