50jetback
A friend purchased a 1934 90 Series coupe, model 96S last year.He purchased the vehicle in Ireland and had it shipped to Western Australia. From what my friend could ascertain from the seller in Ireland the car was imported to that country from the USA in the late 1980's, maybe 1990.At some time the vehicle has been repainted and had trim work done to keep it useable - judging by its condition now this work was probably done back in the USA many years ago. Does anyone recall a 1934 96S ( pretty rare car ) being exported to Ireland or have access to some pre 1990 BCA Rosters to check and see what 1934 96S coupes have previously been listed with the Club.Trying to source any previous history on this car and any thoughts, help or suggestions would be appreciated. alsancle
The Buick guys will confirm but a 90 coupe must be a very very rare bird.
Mark Shaw
Stuart, I suggest you post this on the AACA general forum too. This car could have been listed in the Classic Car Club roster.

1967 - 1997 Riviera
A great car. May be the lone survivor. Please ask your friend to post more pictures of it.
jscheib
I am not certain, but I think the only wheels available for 1934 were steel artillery wheels, not the wire spokes as seen on this car. But it sure looks nice. John

But it sure looks nice. JohnJohn,From the 1934 Sales Catalogue wire wheels were optional on all 50, 60 and 90 Series models. It also lists as Special Equipment chrome wire or chrome artillery wheels on the larger series cars.Still keen to see if anyone has any knowledge of this car while still in the USA before being exported to Ireland in the late 80's.
