Guest barry z Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 (edited) I am planning on selling my car at Hershey in October. I am unsure about leaving the car there overnight. I live about 40 minutes away so I could drive back and forth with the car everyday but would rather not. Is the Car Corral pretty secured in the evening or has there been any problems in the past. I am familiar with the Giant Center layout. Does anyone know what time on Wednesday is too late to bring the car in to it's spot. Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated. The car is a 1969 Mercury Cougar Eliminator,428CJ. Thank you. Edited January 19, 2014 by barry z (see edit history)
smithbrother Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 If you haven't already done such, I would recommend listing on the Mercury/Cougar forum web site. That should be an easy car to sell. Dale in Indy
Jim Bollman Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Can answer your security questions but you will miss a lot of eyeballs if you take it home at night. Many vendors from the flea market and others walk the car coral in the evening. Good way to extend the time at the show. Not sure how many cars are sold to the night walkers but I would imagine there are some.
64Riv-King Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Thieves usually don't lurk on the grounds. cant say I recall anyone's car getting stolen. They sit at the truck stops and hotel parking lots waiting to catch a sleeping overnighter. To sleep better, pull the battery and a plug, rent a GPS tracker from any electronic shop.
