Guest
i recently put a rebuilt carburetor on my 53 blueflame. it runs great but as soon as i put it on i noticed a vacuum leak; a loud whistling noise. i've checked it out as well as i can, but i'm not really a qualified gear-head. any suggestions? blueflame in nc
Guest
Take a can of spray carb. cleaner and spray around where you hear the vacuum leak. As the engine sucks in the cleaner, the idle will increase. This should pin point the source of the leak.<P>------------------<BR>tsauto@v35.com<BR>AACA member, Pottstown Region<BR>'60 TR-
Guest
I had the same problem years ago on a '41 Cadillac. Bad gasket between carb and manifold. ~ hvs
Rick Hoover
Blueflame,<BR>Flip the carb gasket over and end for end. You have it on wrong, I believe. If not, do what Toms is saying.<BR>Rick
