Was that an intentional 2001 Space Odyssey drumstick toss at the end of Alles Neu or was I looking too close? I liked it.....lots.

As in America, we in Germany have North vs. South and West vs. East, too. The song is about being born and raised in the northern part. :D

Michael, the book is on its way to you!

I got two requests about the original 1958 Buick Showroom Album - sorry, it is sold since a few months. :(

But I have two other neat items as reprints to offer:

I always want to match the originals as acurate as possible. See this comparison: http://www.buick-59.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=6547&start=30#p64324

The 55 fabric book consists of samples only - that makes it impossible to produce a reprint like the others (1956, 57, etc.). But I could create a new book with all the information. I put that on my to do list for 2015. :)

Curious as to why the reprints are not a quality spiral bound like the originals as that would make them more user friendly and durable ?

The originals have a strong metal binding like office folders (see attached pictures). These folders are much more expensive to label (means: to have a printed front/cover and back). Costs were twice as high or even higher. And it weighs more, which leads to higher shipping costs. A "Wire O-Binding" (with the little wired circles) is the poorest quality way to bind a book. Most Buick books like shop manuals, product school manuals, parts books, factory books, etc. of the day weren't using the spiral bound either. Thats why I've chosen the professional glue binding. Its durable, looking nicely and rather cheap.
