CarlLaFong
I see it and I believe it. I just don't get it.I think Shaun may have an overinflated sense of his skills. It looks like a 5th grade crafts class project. All it lacks is some macaroni and gold spray paint
Luv2Wrench
Hopefully he has more because I don't think one will be enough for me.
keiser31
Hopefully he has more because I don't think one will be enough for me. He says he can make the one you want. Did you see the wooden pedal accessory package?? That part of the package comes with a disclaimer that says, "Slippery when wet".

trimacar
Remember that class is in the eye of the beholder....Now, back to trimming, where tacky is metal things in my mouth....
auburnseeker
I'm not really sure if that's DOT approved. I want to see the model with the airbag incorporated.
trimacar
You'd have to be a sap not to want one of these, wooden you? Airbags won't protect your limbs as you drive, so that's not a topic to branch out into.....
auburnseeker
It would definately spruce up your ride.

trimacar
Very nicely done (the comments, not the wheel).I agree, he's aspen too much for this, although he might give you a discount price for a pear. Of course in that case you willow him more money....
Durant Mike
So if the air bags deploy, will he be spitting out nails! ha ha
Dandy Dave
All joking aside, I can see wheel failure and law suits in the future. The automakers have had bigger suits on lesser claims. I bet it will not hold up to a dead engine and no PS while trying to get out of harms way. Dandy Dave!
trimacar
Yes, agreed, it's a really bad idea.....

frank29u
So this all says I need to replace my original, wood steering wheel and probably my wood spoke wheels, too? I didn't know that. frank
trimacar
I think we're saying it's a bad idea from a liability standpoint, the same reasoning I use when refusing to cut and resew seat belts....If your original wood pieces break there's no one to sue, in our ridiculously litigious society... auburnseeker
The way the old wheels were made is by no way comparable to the angular butt joints in this wheel as is the type of material. Looks to be made of Knotty pine. I believe most of the original wheels were made of a hardwood and atleast free of significant knots like the ones you can see here. I wonder how well the horn button works?
28 Chrysler
It looks like if you spilled your beer on it the wood glue would let go, and to want to buy this it would take a lot of beer.
