32 Buick 8-57 sedan FOR SALE, in Primer, to Assemble

Recommended Posts

I have a 1932 Model 57 4-door sedan for sale. Body is in excellent condition - super wood, all steel fine and primered ready for paint. Engine and chassis also good - wood artillery wheels, good original honeycomb radiator. All parts believed present except upholstery and wires. No title, but chassis number is visible, will provide Bill of Sale for registration. First $3,000 takes it. For sale locally, too. Pictures on request (after Friday, November8 - when i next get a chance in daylight). Located near Albany, NY. Can deliver within reasonable (there and back one day) range.

Here are first photos - of the main car - still need to get out the boxes of minor parts, plus back doors, radiator, shell, hood, and fenders (all inside in the barn's loft)! The last two of these pix are inside - under the cowl, showing heater, and also the roof, showing excellent wood there (all wood is similarly good, and rooftop insert material is good, too).

OK, I'm home! Here are some engine pix, as requested, along with a few other visible details (sound wheels, etc.). I have not run the engine, but it turns over easy.

I bought this in nearly the same shape it is in now, except for re-priming the body while it was off to swap from wire to wood wheels. I have included one image of as-i-bought-it (note wire wheels in that image). The fellow I bought it (Ohio) from had started the work from a running car, then put it away when he got ill. There it sat for several years until I bought it. I believe it to be complete, but have not done a detailed inventory.

If it's not too snowy tomorrow, I'll add some pix of the other parts (back doors, fenders, trims, etc.).

Anyone interested who would like to call is welcome to do so tomorrow (Eastern time, daylight hours): 518 six-six-four 5659.

No, John - I don't know why, but the pix that appeared in the posting when I posted them, became these dead links when the posting went up to you all. Here. I'll try again:

That's the same 7 images. Are they visible this time?

OK, folks, I got out to the car barn, where the other bits are stored in the loft. Here are pix for all those other bits for anyone interested in this project. Pretty much it's all here. These show the radiator core, the shell (from the inside), seat springs, fenders, back doors, floorboards, dash, horns, lamps, & window trim surrounds. The gas tank is partly visible in the fender image. I hope you can see the pix!

This is a very complete car, waiting for you to bring it all together! Who'll do it?

John Corey

OK, I'm trying again, with smaller images (though the same size that worked before won't go through now....):

OK - I give up here, and have posted the whole set (22 pix) on Flickr at:

Go get 'em!

Thanks for looking. I hope a real Buick lover goes for this project. If not, next week, I'll post it to the regular world.
