Guest user2013
Hi There,I was wondering if anyone could help me out, I have recently seen a car in a very old photo recently passed on to me from a relative. Is it possible to identify this car -more my curiosity than anything else. Thanks
keiser31
That running board kicking up in the rear will give a big clue.
Curti
It appears both cars are the same. Why block out the peoples faces? I doubt if anyone is alive that is in the pix.

alsancle
Did the picture come to you with the black dots? I'm more interested in their purpose than identifying the car.
whtbaron
Very light wheels. Lots of kids in the pics... seems like a family outing gone bad.

Bleach
It's definitely not a Toyota Sequoia.
whtbaron
LOL...we're not being much help. The light wheels and high arched fenders... I was thinking Case, but they didn't have the squared louvers in the hood.

Guest user2013
Hmm, I thought the faces may be a bit distracting, no other suggestions?
Stude17
Looks like an Apperson roadster about 1918.
dan at larescorp
It apparently dates before they figured out you could just build a smaller car to make it a compact.

whtbaron
Apperson is a definite possibility. This is supposed to be a 1920.

jeff_a
I think it might be a 1917 Pathfinder V-12. Fenders, wheels, running board, and tool lockers in the dust shield supports this. Currently a picture of one on the General Discussion Forum, from The Old Motor site ["The Great Pathfinder, King of the Twelves" by T-Head on 11/15/13]. Stude17
Pathfinder ticks all the boxes Jeff. Incredible that there is a V12 under that crumpled bonnet.
