Dauphinee
Well I did it and purchased a 1938 Nash Ambassador 6 in May. Now it is time to put it away for a long winter nap. What do I need to put inside of it to keep the critters out?How about storing the gas system?Any other tips I am forgetting about. It is going into a garage with a concrete floor, not heated. Thanks
llskis
FWIW: I have used "Car Jackets" for years with great results. http://www.carbag.com/ I buy the oneswith the zippers. Just roll the prepared (Battery Out and widows rolled up) car in and and add some moisture remover like the white pellets they use in motor homes and zip it up for the winter. They comeout just like you put them in. (No surface rust anywhere) BTW; my garage is just like yours (not heatedand concrete floor) Go to their website to read up about them. I used these bags for over 20 years. Beingcarefull the bags can be used over and over again. They are expensive though--LarryP.S I use Av Gas and "Stay Fresh" (Blue in color) and have never had any problem with old gas.
alsancle
Use racing gas or aviation gas or it won't start in the spring.

Have had really good luck with it over the years. My cars sit in a well sealed , tho unheated garage. I roll them out about once a month weather permitting and let them run for 20 minutes or so. Others might disagree, but I think it's better than just sitting. By the way, that's a nice looking Nash. Kimo
1. Move all of the furniture out of your living room and into your garage.2. Using your Sawz-all, enlarge the front door opening.3. Move your car into the living room.4. Patch up the front door.5. Move your wife into the garage and tell her it is only for a few months.6. When spring comes, take the car out, return the furniture and wife and enjoy your car! Edited October 28, 2013 by Kimo (see edit history)
Dauphinee
I wish this was my garage. It is 6 cars. The owner will be using the one side to put her car in and out during the winter. I found a place that I can rent for 40/month. My garage has a dirt floor, broken windows and a leaky roof. Would gasoline stabilizer work for the gas for the winter? Can you purchase those "Car bags" at an automotive store like autozone?

AFAIK--Car Jackets can only be purchased direct. There are many sizesavailable so comunication is a must. Larry
