A new Customer of my Garage,where i do work, drove the Axle to long without oil,all is run Dry and its damaged !! !!Now I'm look for him for a Spare One . Guest Posted October 26, 2013 Share Posted October 26, 2013 Greetings Same differential 1940- early 1955 Buicks, I think 3.4/1 ratio. Drive shaft and axles different lengths for different models. Center drop-out gearset has interchange and easier to ship. Most early 50's except Spec or standard transmission had that ratio. Shipped from US, Wow $ If you just have to have it let me know. Thanks for your Information and offer.Yesterday a Guy here in Germany told me may be he have very similar Axle in his Garage Corner.I stay in Contact with him.
