Beltfed
Could not find the two piece center section of the conduit. So made them from a shower curtain rod on close out from HD. Pic shows rod (extra), rod split into two pieces, and pieces painted and in place.
John Murphy
Excellent "helpful hint" for the Zephyrs out there with a missing center loom cover. Good job.
Guest 65Starfire
Looks great! Did you simply split it or make it to overlap like the original?
DSpringer
Thanks, and good timing for me too. I hope it's a common item at HD.
Beltfed
I just split one length of the rod with a Drimel tool. The gap between the two pieces is about 1/32". If you want the two pieces to overlap you will have to use two lengths of the rod and cut or slice them length wise something other than 180 degrees. The rod or tube is around 30"x1" so you'll have plenty to work with. At $9.00 plus tax it is an inexpensive fix.
