Car is 6 volt...is it positive to ground? Second problem: If you turn ignition switch on there is power to the coil but nothing from the coil to the points

Be sure the points are open when you test,,,If not easy to turn engine,,put a piece of paper

like a matchbook cover between the points,,

If still no currant,,sounds like a wire broken in the coil primary winding,,Replace coil,,

Oh yes,,disconnect wire at distribtor and test too,,just in case there is a piece of wire

touching ground at the dist' body,,,We dont know if someone has played here before
