I represent an auction company (Bounds Auction Company) that has been contracted to liquidate the living estate of 2 gentlemen from northeastern Pennsylvania. Included in this estate are 6 cars (3 in this thread, 3 in the next) that will be sold at auction on Thursday, August 22, 2013. The auction will be conducted live from their garage. All cars have been inspected by David Hopkins (our auto tech). Only the 1956 Jaguar will not be started on the day of sale. This car has not been touched since it was moved into the garage in 1994. DESCRIPTION: VIN # A422639640 Battery replaced; carburetor removed and cleaned. Vehicle was started and run dry. Fresh gas added and vehicle runs smoothly. Oil changed. Green and black with brown leather interior. Rare tracking headlamp option. Level of restoration unknown. Title shows ownership since 1989.

DESCRIPTION: VIN # 3110122 Body tag is 338-S-277, engine block 400271 (VIN on firewall plate). 139” wheel base; When purchased in the 1950s a frame up restoration was performed. There is a paint defect on the passenger side spare tire cover. The auto tech replaced the battery, top oiled the cylinders and compression tested the motor prior to starting. The vehicle started and ran well. It was pulled out of the garage, and run dry. Spark plugs were replaced and fresh fuel added. Car has been started and run several times since with no problems. Reading on the odometer is 51,277

DESCRIPTION: VIN # 638007 Purchased by current owners in 1983. Carburetors required cleaning and exhaust manifold gasket was replace during this activity. Battery also has been replaced. For this vintage, a rare left hand drive (Jaguar’s drive for the US market didn’t start in earnest for a few more years). Odometer shows 5,716 miles.
