Guest wizardimps
Going through some old photos that my grandparents took when they visited Yellowstone in the summer of 1952, and there are two that have cars I'm curious to identify (neither of the cars were theirs) - here's one of a bear climbing the hood of a car, and another showing the same car, same bear, and another car. Any ideas?
Guest Casper Friedrich
The bear is climbing the hood of a 1949-50 Ford. The other car is a 1949-52 Chevrolet Fleetline
Grandpa
The Ford (bear climbing the hood picture) is a 1949 model year. Grandpa

Guest wizardimps
Yeah, get in one of the cars and get away from the bears!:eek:Heh. They took some more trip pictures after this and when I saw my grandfather into the early 1980s, he never mentioned about that one time he had been attacked and mauled by a bear so I assume he got away safely. Thanks for the IDs!
Dave Mellor NJ
I see a tag line in all these flickr photos that clearly ID the cars, not that we mind helping you.
