A very original and well maintained 1941 Special Sedanette

Recommended Posts

1941 Buick Special Sedanette. This is an extremely original car that has probably been repainted and re-upholstered some years back and remains in presentable condition throughout. The car spent the bulk of its life in Tennessee and as a result is a super rust free car. The floor pans, trunk pans, sills, frame etc are all very rust free and straight. The car has great body panels with good door and hood fit. The black paint is older and shows overall signs of usage such as scratches, chips and touchups, but looks good from 10 to 20 feet away with a nice even gloss and shine. There appears to be no body work underneath the paint. The potmetal, chrome and stainless trim details are original and very nice. The interior is a period correct cloth and is clean and certainly usable. The engine bay and chassis are original and "good and greasy" like you would expect from a good original car. This car is equipped with its original 248 cid straight eight engine that has the rare, factory optional dual carburetors. The engine starts easily, idles well and propels the car down the road nicely. The manual transmission shifts well and the rear end and transmission are nice and quiet. The brakes and steering are nice and tight and the car drives down the road straight. All of the lights and gauges work, although the wipers do not. This is a great example of a desirable and scarce Buick body style. The early Buick fastbacks are a great mixture of late art-deco and mid-century styling in addition to being great road cars. The car has a clear and current title and is located in Jefferson, WI. Reasonably priced is 17,000.00. Hi , would it be possible to get any pictures of the underside?

Is there anyone that is a registered vehicle inspector so I can get an independent report on the condition of the vehicle?

Any extra info would be appreciated
