Dosmo
Can someone tell me the make and the approximate year of this car? Thank You.
Dave Mellor NJ
Whenever you see an early speedster you can be pretty sure it's a Model T. All kinds of aftermarket bodies were available and the countryside was littered with clapped out cars whose life could be extended cheaply. This is a 19 model. see the hood. Guest RonB
Thats not a T speedster though, it has the rounded grill of a whippet, and external contracting brakes on big drums. The rear wheels have more spokes than the front .It appears to have eliptic springs on the front rather than a T's single tranverse spring. The valance panel is straight(ish) rather than curved like the T's. The rabbit is a scawny specimen. Surely with that much firepower they could have bagged some bigger game. oldcarfudd
Also, unless the picture's been flipped, this car has right hand drive. Note external levers.Gil Fitzhugh, Morristown, NJ
Dave Mellor NJ
I see what you mean, Ron. The hood isn't exactly the same, either. I thought the owner was standing in front of some louvers but not, and the hold down is wrong.
jeff_a
It looks a little like a 1913 Overland Roadster, except for the hood louvers.
