Horn issue

My horn wasn't working, all I get is them trying to blow, quick muffled sound then done - My horn buttons needed replace, one was totally shot the other on the way out - I thought maybe that was the issue. That job went very well (thanks to the thread Bushwack started back in April of 2012). All excited I pushed the buttons and same as before. Obviously the buttons are working, the relay has to be working, so are both the horns bad ? Or is there another issue I am overlooking. I disconnected the horns, cleaned the connection and sprayed WD in them, still the same thing. Thoughts please ?

Do they make noise every time you press the button?

I'd try swapping out the relay in the underhood relay center with one right next to it to see if it solves the problem. If I does, swap them back and I can bring you a relay to SB

OK, it goes BEEP BEEP, I dug through my bag of tricks (aka items that "fell" off the other Reatta before it left) and put the two horns off of it on the convertible and it sounds perfect now. The horn buttons work nicely also - that was a rather easy job. Now I can get the PA inspection done!!

I like air horns. Sometimes people way up there in the middle of the air in their SAVs do not seem to see the 'vert alongside.

That's when you need a train horn! Not only is it loud enough to wake the dead, the pressure wave that comes off them can push those encroachers aside. :cool:
