Guest 6Shots
The build sheet for my '41 Lincoln Continental Cab. indicates the car was originally a 1940 "57 Continental Club Coupe." Other paperwork from the Henry Ford Museum had two LeBaron Body locations highlighted, along with the Somerville, MA assembly plant. That makes me wonder if my car was "converted" by LeBaron. However, nothing I have read indicates this. Does anyone have any info that some or all Cabriolets were originally Continental Coupes? And any knowledge of LeBaron doing conversions of that sort? The X-bracing under the car looks to have been added later. Body number is for mid-'41, and the dash, sans top motor pull, is clearly from a 1940 or '41 Coupe. Can anyone shed any light on this. It's all very fascinating.Thanks.
