Guest rmccoy
I have a 1931 pontiac 401 and need new valve springs, would anyone on here know a supplier for the correct springs? Thank You, R McCoy

Guest kaycee
Send a PM to Tinindian on the Pontiac Oakland forum. He is great when it comes to old Pontiac info, and helps tons on these forums. He owns a 1930 Pontiac with 400,000 miles on it and is about as knowledgable person that you'll find on old Pontiacs. Guest
Thanks kaycee Egge Machine is the place. 1107 Slauson Avenue, Santa Fe Springs, California 90670-221 Ask for Jim Ketchum. Phone 562-945-3419 or look them up on line and email. I just bought valves, springs, guides, pistons and wrist pin bushings from them. They also had a "complete" engine overhaul gasket set and I mean all gaskets were included.

1954royalhemi
I know this post is very old, but Egge does not sell valve springs for a 1931 401 Pontiac anymore, I guess. I've tried several different places...Anyone have or know of a supplier?
JFranklin
Will a spring for another application work? It might be easier to search for spring dimensions and coil pressure. I have springs in my Model A Ford engine I got from The McDonald Douglas aircraft salvage shop in Los Angeles. Grimy
Try Then-and-Now in MA, best known for its excellent fuel pump rebuilds but also with a warehouse full of old parts. I bought NORS valve springs for my 1925 Pierce 80 from them 12 or more years ago--very reasonably. https://www.then-now-auto.com/
