lrlforfun
OK Buick People: (For a friend, please) Does anybody know....FOR SURE.....what the exact interchangeability is for different models for floor pans and rocker boxes on the 59 Electra convert? After a heavy dose of truth serum from the media blaster everything is bad and needs to be replaced. I need to know exactly which components will work so I can start looking for them. The vehicle is in the Chi-town area, a stronghold for Tin Worm armies. Any help and suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mitch

Guest shorttimer
Mitch, I can't help you on the floor pans, but here's the breakdown on the inner and outer rocker interchange from my 1964 parts book:The outers are shared with all 59/60 xx37, xx67 and 4411 models, while the inners are 59/60 4700 and 4800. The front ends of the rockers at the base of the cowl (V in the diagram below) are common to all 59/60s. The endcap panels with the two plastic plugs at the front of the rear wheelwells also common to all 59/60s.
Guest shorttimer
One other thought - you may want to check in with this guy here in SoCal. He's fabricated some pretty detailed rockers for a 60 Invicta Custom convert recently.
