Guest ZenMaster
Hi,I have owned a 69 Z28 for 13 years and am hoping to finally do some work on it. I would really appreciate some help in understanding/decoding some of the codes on the Chassis Broadcast Copy that was removed from above the fuel tank some time ago. Sorry, no Build Sheet was located in the car. The Chassis sheet is in poor shape but there is enough info on it to make me feel confident the car is a real Z28. Here are the codes I need help with:Trans type:4 I assume this means 4 speedTrans shift: F I assume this means floor shiftTrans:XF Help!Steering Gear: AG HelpAir Cleaner: 07 HelpIf I am incorrect with the trans type and shift, please let me know also. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.Larry
padgett
Engine DZ, trans should be N or P, steering only thing I have is 7806396. This is for a street car. Race cars used parts from the green sheets. Real fanatic should know more.
