Guest Skinnywhitelbk Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 I have a 1967 lincoln continental with a 462 engine. I am new to the classic car world this is my fist car. I have a cracked manifold on the drivers side. Is it possible to put headers on the 462 motor? Where do you guys get your parts from I would not only like to get parts for the motor but the exterior of the car even though its fully restored. Any websites you could turn me on to would be appreciated.

joe_padavano Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Is it possible to put headers on the 462 motor? It's possible to put headers on ANY motor. Will you find any available for your motor and body? EXTREMELY unlikely.
Barry Wolk Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 There's barely room for the cast iron manifolds. It's not likely that headers will fit, nor do you any good.
Friartuck Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 There's a place in Hightstown, NJ called Perogies that deals with Forn of that era and handle that engine. They also had a manifold that is used/common on a Tornado I think. There is a Cast Iron welding rod available from Muggy Weld http://muggyweld.com that I have succussfully used.
