Guest floyd dunster Posted June 12, 2013 Share Posted June 12, 2013 Hi guys hoping somebody can help.I had to change the alternator belt in my 78 chevy truck(inline 6 250)it was late I was tired and I forgot to disconnect the battery the alternator arced against the motor a couple of times ,now I have nothing.Nothing happens when I turn the key on ,no lights on dash no headlights ,etc. I swapped out the battery in my reatta but still nothing Any help would be appreciated,thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Ronnie Posted June 12, 2013 Share Posted June 12, 2013 You have probably blown a fusible link. I think on that truck it will be connected to the hot post on the starter and it runs to the fuse box.
