Guest brooksfan62
I have a 1950 Dodge Coronet 230 with automatic choke. When I bought this car from my dad, he had a lever hooked to the automatic choke but not to the carb. When I tried to hook it up it kind of seems like something is missing in the linkage. If anyone else has this set up, I would appreciate a picture to see if im just dumb and hooking it up wrong or if I am missing something. Thanks! Rusty_OToole
They had a Sisson automatic choke. There was a wire rod a little bigger than a coat hanger wire, it went from the choke to a lever on the carb.Best to get a repair manual if possible, there is a specific adjustment that needs to be made. Also many Sisson chokes had an electric solenoid in them and a wire.
Guest brooksfan62
Yea, I have a repair manual and I cant find anything in there about what it looks like. I know there is a rod that runs from the automatic choke to the carb. But im thinking mine is set up wrong, which is why I'm asking for a picture! But thanks anyway.
