I need a power steering reservoir that is mounted on the drivers inner fender.I guess they had a couple different designs. The one I have has a crack in it.Anyone know what I might try to seal it with? Thanks,Tom

Thanks for the info Tom but it's definitely a externally mounted power steering reservoir. Tom

Do you still need this remote reservior? I have a used one in excellent condition. Complete with the cap, hoses and mounting bracket. I'd like $60.00 and I'll pay the shipping. I can send more pics if you'd like to check it out.post-94650-143141956974_thumb.png

Since this is my first post I'd like to introduce myself. I've been a lurker on this site for a few years. You guys have helped me out a lot on some of my car problems I've google'd. I'm no stranger to Buicks and other GM makes and some of you know me as the turbofish38 that posts over on the turbocharged Regal sites like turbobuick.com, turbobuicks.com and gnttype.org. I'm not a member of AACA(yet) but at various times I've been a member of the ROA and BCA and GSCA. I still own 2 84 Riviera T-Types and my current DD is a 90 Riviera which I have found to be just as enjoyable to drive as the 79-85 generation. The last thing I needed to do was join another forum but since I find myself visiting this site on a regular basis I figured I might as well take the plunge. I've read a few threads that piqued my interest and I should have replied to as I've owned the particular car in question or have ran across the same problems.

Is this for 83 only?

Is this for 83 only?

It was used on the 82-83 E/K-Body with JM8 4-wheel disc brakes. Instead of a vacuum booster those models used a hydraboost brake booster. But I cant figure out why GM used this remote reservior instead of the pump mounted reservior that was used on the diesel and most of the Buick turbocharged models.

I've had this reservior hiding in my stash of parts for at least the last 15 years. I hate to say it but I pulled it off a 83 Riviera XX Indy Pace Car replica I had found in a U-Pull-It. I had planned on using it on one of my T-Types that I was going to convert the V-belts to the serpentine belt from the 86-87 GN.
