URGENT: Insurance Suggestions for US portiion of Buenos Aires to New York Rally

Hello! Does anyone have any suggestions/advice on who might insure a British-registered pre-war car on the US (last) leg of a Buenos Aires to New York City rally?

We have 3 Austin 7s (a 1929, 1932, 1933), and, by a strange set of circumstances, have failed to acquire coverage on one car on the tour. The cars are currently in Nicaragua, and should be at the Mexico/US border in less than two weeks, so any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Of note: The cars are not museum quality-they are just meant to be driven. So, we are seeking liability only. A few suggestions:

1) Check with any organization that sponsors/conducts similar races with out-of-country registered vehicles in the US. I think one of the Hemming Motor News Great Races went into Canada and back, so HMN may be able to provide some insight.

2) You mention that only one of the cars needs insurance-- how did the other cars obtain insurance? Is it possible to obtain insurance for the uninsured car in the same manner?

3) Contact the national office of the American Automobile Association, they may have had similar inquiries from out-of-country tourists needing to temporarily insure their cars in the US.

4) Contact an office of the British Consulate (since the car is British registered) in one of the larger US cities. They may be able to refer you to an insurance company.
