Guest reatta_ross Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 Well i'm not totally sure what is going on, but, when i was getting on the on-ramp today i put it to the floor and it would not accelerate. It wasn't sputtering or anything, it just simply would not go faster. Now when i left off the pedal about half way it started to go. this only seems to happen when i'm down to a quarter tank of gas. Coincidence?, or maybe that has something to do with it. not sure but any help would be awesome. thanks!
DAVES89 Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 Fuel filter, fuel pump going bad, or catalytic converter
Guest reatta_ross Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 The exhaust is fairly new. Got my dual flowmaster set up delivered yesterday, plan to install this weekend. I hope it is the cat so i don't have to spend more money. Also just changed the fuel filter 3 weeks ago. Was also thinking it could be the pump but i never know with this thing.
Guest Corvanti Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 with a fuel pump pressure tester like this: Reviews for Actron CP7818 Fuel Pressure Tester Kitcheck this tutorial: Fuel Pressure Testing - Reatta Owners Journalhope this helps.
Guest Mc_Reatta Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Wouldn't hurt to monitor ED18 O2 Cross Counts to see if O2 sensor isn't driving it lean or rich.
padgett Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 If it is running smooth just no power my bet would be massive retard. What is Oldpa3 and the advance doing ? Lean will surge & rich will produce black smoke out the pipe.
Guest reatta_ross Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Padgett there is no black smoke and you lost me at Oldpa3 and advance. Pretty new with this car so if you can feel free to fill me in.

I think i'm really leaning toward the fuel pump.
Ronnie Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 You really should buy, borrow or rent a fuel pressure tester and check the fuel pressure. It's an easy 15 minute test that will tell you if you need a fuel pump. Filling the tank is probably just a coincidence.
